Racumin Rat And Mouse Paste

Racumin Rat and Mouse Paste is a ready-to-use rodenticide bait paste that controls rats and mice. It contains Coumatetralyl, a first-generation anticoagulant that works through a multi-feed system.

Unlike second and third-generation baits, coumatetralyl is metabolised quickly, so dead rodents carry very low residues; this decreases the risk of secondary poisoning to pets or wildlife who may scavenge on the dead rodents.

Active Ingredient: Coumatetralyl @ 0.37g/kg

Racumin Rat And Mouse Paste RACUMIN-PASTE 2022 Environmental Science

Description

Racumin Rat and Mouse Paste

Active Ingredient: Coumatetralyl @ 0.37g/kg

Racumin Rat and Mouse Paste is a ready-to-use rodenticide bait paste that controls rats and mice. It contains Coumatetralyl, a first-generation anticoagulant that works through a multi-feed system.

Unlike second and third-generation baits, coumatetralyl is metabolised quickly, so dead rodents carry very low residues; this decreases the risk of secondary poisoning to pets or wildlife who may scavenge on the dead rodents. Using the multi-feed approach, Racumin will kill in a similar timeframe as a single-feed bait (3-8 days) without the risk of bait shyness. Racumin Rat and Mouse Paste combines vegetable fats and carbohydrates in an exceptionally attractive way to rats and mice.

Where can Racumin Rat and Mouse Paste be used;

  • Domestic areas
  • Industrial areas
  • Wharf areas
  • Around farm buildings
  • Dairies
  • Meatworks (non-production areas)

Racumin Rat and Mouse Paste is the ideal bait for domestic use and for use around the farm as part of a rodent control strategy.

Whether it’s on your farm, home or business, rodent control is an important part of protecting your animals and property.  As the colder months come around, rats and mice will likely move indoors. They spread disease and breed quickly. Rodents will damage your electrical wiring, chew building materials and cause destruction to agricultural crops by eating newly sown seeds, young plants and seed heads on grain crops.

There are some real benefits to knowing how best to manage your property to protect it from the potential ravages of rats and mice. The trick is you need to familiarise the rodents with the bait stations and their positioning. The rodents have a phobia of anything new, so you need to make sure the stations stay in the same place – even moving the bait stations 100mm can cause shyness from the rodents from taking the bait again.

Racumin Rat and Mouse Paste Pack Sizes: 500g, 2kg and 5kg

Very effective and no secondary poisonings

    Allan

We attempted to go the manual ray-trap route at first to avoid poison since we live in an area with a lot of native wildlife and pets of neighbours. After some research discovered Racumin had low secondary poisoning risk – but figured it wouldn’t be as effective. Totally wrong!! This has been very effective even with the increase of rain and good rodent habitat – we’ve been rodent free and have had no secondary poisonings! HIGHLY recommend this product – we still use traps but using Racumin has assured we break the reproductive cycle and remission on top of the infestation. Have been using it for three years now and can definitely recommend it to others.

I live in a big property and I have been using this product for more than 2 years now. It is very effective and it does not affect pets or wildlife in case they have contact with the poisoned rats.

The lethal dose of Coumatetralyl, the active ingredient in Racumin rodenticide, for an adult rat can vary depending on factors such as the rat's weight and health status and the concentration of the poison in the bait. However, a typical lethal dose for an adult rat is around 0.5 to 2 milligrams of Coumatetralyl per kilogram of body weight. Coumatetralyl is metabolised quicker than other rodenticides that contain third-generation active ingredients, resulting in a quicker kill and a lower risk of secondary poisoning.

Racumin Rat And Mouse Paste contain Coumatetralyl which is metabolised quickly, so dead rodents carry very low residues; this decreases the risk of secondary poisoning to pets or wildlife who may scavenge on the dead rodents.  If an owl consumed the paste itself, it would likely be fatal.
